 Why I Started a Pet Blog

As a stay-at-home mom with part-time freelance gigs and a kid getting ready to return to school after his summer break, I found myself staring down the barrel of a whole lot of free time. After some deliberation, I concluded that I would find a way to combine my love for animals with my love for writing. So I decided I would start a pet blog. 

For as far back as I can remember, I have had a special affinity for all animals big and small. I was a quiet child, often alone. I didn't make friends with humans easily but have always connected with animals. I had many pets as a child and whenever I would go visit other people's homes, my first question was always, "Do you have any pets?" If they did, I would spend the evening visiting and talking with their pets, ignoring any humans on the scene.

In this blog, I hope to include snippets of my past experiences with various pets, ongoing escapades with my current pets (2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 hamsters, and a plethora of fish), feature stories of amazing pets around the world, and general stories about different pets and their care. In addition to my own content, I'm hoping to showcase other pet-loving writers out there.
